We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Director of Global Tax to lead our worldwide tax function. This strategic role will oversee all aspects of tax strategy, compliance, and operations across multiple jurisdictions, including direct and indirect taxes, while partnering with senior leadership to support business growth and private equity objectives.

What You’ll Be Working On 

Leadership & Oversight 
  • Lead the global tax function, including direct and indirect tax strategy, compliance, and operations. 
  • Build and mentor a high-performing tax team, fostering collaboration and professional growth. 
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on tax implications of strategic decisions. 
  • Engage with executive-level management to negotiate critical matters such as cross‑border tax structures, audit settlements, transfer pricing positions, and M&A transaction terms. Ensure favorable outcomes that balance compliance, risk management, and shareholder value. 
Tax Strategy, Planning & Risk 
  • Develop and execute comprehensive global tax strategies aligned with corporate objectives and develop robust plans for cash tax savings. 
  • Advise on tax implications of business decisions, transactions, and new initiatives. 
  • Identify and mitigate tax risks through robust governance and proactive planning. 
Global Indirect Tax 
  • Oversee VAT, GST, HST, and sales/use tax compliance and planning across jurisdictions. 
  • Implement processes and technology to manage indirect tax obligations efficiently. 
Compliance, Reporting & Controls 
  • Ensure timely and accurate federal, state, and international income tax filings. 
  • Maintain strong internal controls and documentation for all tax activities, including SOX compliance. 
  • Manage ASC 740 tax provision and uncertain tax positions. 
Forecasting & Financial Planning 
  • Forecast annual effective tax rates and global cash taxes to support FP&A and budgeting. 
Transactions, M&A & Structuring 
  • Lead tax due diligence and structuring for mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic transactions. 
  • Optimize tax outcomes for private equity-backed initiatives and capital structure changes. 
Technology & Process Optimization 
  • Drive automation and adoption of tax technology tools to enhance efficiency and reporting. 
  • Implement continuous process improvements to streamline global tax operations. 
Audit  
  • Oversee global tax audits, ensuring accurate documentation and effective risk management. 
  
What you bring to the role
  • Minimum 10+ years in tax, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within SaaS or technology companies. 
  • Private equity experience strongly preferred. 
  • Proven success in building and leading global tax functions. 
  • Deep knowledge of domestic and international tax laws, transfer pricing, indirect tax, and global tax provision processes. 
  • Strong technical expertise in ASC 740, M&A tax planning, and operational tax matters. 
  • CPA with Big 4 experience

The anticipated base salary range for this role is $202,000 to $270,000. Actual compensation offered will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, and qualifications as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, the budget for the position, and applicable employment laws.
